How to Get Your Car Looking Spick and Span

My parents told me that when I was a little kid, all I ever asked for on my birthday and other holidays was toy cars! I do remember having fun playing with them, but they have told me many funny stories about how obsessed I was with them. When I was finally able to buy my first car after I turned 16 and got my driver's license, I really had fun putting aftermarket parts on it and customizing it. However, when something important needed repaired on it, I had no idea how to do it! I took learning more about cars as a challenge, and I have studied up on how to do my own maintenance and even perform small repairs over the years since. I want to share my knowledge on a blog and help other people realize that learning about their cars can really be fun!

No matter how much you want to have a clean car, if you don't put in the effort to get one then you probably have a car that looks more like it's covered in crumbs than anything. If your car is covered in food crumbs, candy wrappers, empty soda cups, and a bunch of other trash then it's time to clean everything up. So, what are some ways that you can get your car looking spick and span? This article will take a closer look and see. Read on to learn a little bit more.

Get Rid of Trash

Before you even take your car to the car wash, make sure that you get rid of the trash first. Getting rid of the trash will make it a lot easier for you to vacuum your car thoroughly and getting it looking just like new.

Vacuum It Out

Getting a good car wash isn't just about getting the outside of your car clean; it's also about cleaning the inside of your car. Once you get rid of all of your trash, it's time to vacuum it out. Make sure that you go to a car wash that has adapters that will allow you to get around the seats and into all of the cracks and crevices. Make sure that you vacuum out your trunk as well.

Wipe Down the Upholstery

If you have leather upholstery in your car, then bring an upholstery spray to wipe it down. Using a leather cleaner is a great way to get rid of any dirt that's caked on while also conditioning your leather so that it lasts a lot longer.

In addition to wiping down your leather seats, make sure that you wipe down your dashboard and center console. Just make sure that you use a spray that's designed specifically for the material. For instance, if it's vinyl, then you don't want to use a leather cleaner because it may leave a waxy residue. Whereas if it's leather, you don't want to use a vinyl cleaner because it might make it crack.

Having a clean car won't just make your life easier, it will also help your car last longer. When too much dirt and dust is built up in a car, it can leave it looking damaged and worn out. Keep these things in mind when you are looking for the best car wash around.
